This derby should be an intriguing match
between two teams going in opposite directions.
Four Hearts players were dismissed just before
yesterdays UEFA Q match between Lithuania and Ukraine.
Saulius Mikoliunas, Edgaras Jankauskas, Marius Zaliukas
and Andrius Velicka were let go by Lithuanian coach,
Algimantas Liubinskas. Here is the quote before
yesterdays UEFA Q match.
---------------------------------------------------
Liubinskas told BBC Scotland: "Mikoliunas, Zaliukas and Jankauskas are all unfit or injured. Velicka is not right for the game. This is my choice. They have all been sent away. Is it a disappointment to me? Yes, because I like to have as many players as possible who are fit."
Ukraine won the match in Scotland's group 1-0 thanks to Oleg Gusev's goal early in the second half.
"I feel a big disappointment about the Hearts players," Liubinskas added. "Some came to the national team injured and the others - physically and mentally down."
----------------------------------------------------
At this point it looks like Mikoliunas is
suspended for the Hibs game but the other
three could see action depending on their fitness.
Jankauskas has started nine games for Hearts, and Velicka
has been removed at half-time in two of his last three starts
for Hearts and has not scored in his last six matches
after scoring 9 in his first 15 games.
Hearts have showed their disarray on the pitch,
by their recent form losing their last 2 matches
by a total score of 5-0.
Hibernian Edinburgh, on the other hand is hot after winning
the CIS cup in a 5-1 whacking of Kilmarnock on March 18th.
They also won their last league match 2-0 over Falkirk.
Falkirk then handed SPL leaders Celtic their 3rd loss
in 31 matches.
RECOMMENDATION : HIBERNIAN PK - 145 (Olympic/Greek)
enjoy.
